Can a lead receive the same email twice?

Yes and No.

The system checks to see if a prospect has already received an email based on the email template type before it is sent. A prospect can only receive a given email template once per four hour period by means of a drip program, automation rule, or autoresponder. This provides for peace of mind when setting up numerous automated email activities.

A prospect can however receive the same list or one-to-one email twice, even within the four hour window.

Regardless of the time period between emails, a prospect will not receive more than one of the same email from a drip program. Even if a prospect is on multiple drips, if the drips are set to send the same email templates, then the prospect will only be sent one of each email template from within the drip programs.

The same is true for email list blasts. If two or more lists are selected for an email list blast and a prospect is on more than one list, the system will automatically remove duplicates and the prospect will only receive one email.

The system checks to see if a lead has already received an email before it is sent. A lead can only receive a given email once per campaign and a maximum of 7 emails per per seven hour period by means of a combined drip program, automation rule, or autoresponder. This provides for peace of mind when setting up numerous automated email activities.

A lead can however receive the same one-to-one email twice, even within the seven hour window by means of different automation campaigns.
